Root Rot

Soil-borne root rot (Pythium, Phytophthora, Fusarium). Symptoms: wilting despite watering, yellowing leaves, brown mushy foul-smelling roots. Main causes: overwatering, poor drainage. Treatment: remove rotting roots, repot, reduce watering, fungicide. Dangerous for seedlings and houseplants.
