Breadfruit

Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) is a large tropical tree, 20-25m tall, producing starchy fruit. Requires year-round hot humid climate, frost intolerant. Green fruit cooked like potato, ripe fruit eaten raw. Propagated by cuttings or air layering. Staple food crop in Pacific islands.
