Ensete ventricosum is a large tropical plant from Ethiopia, 3-6m tall, with massive pseudostem and broad leaves. Grown ornamentally, fruit inedible. Requires warm climate, rich soil, high humidity, full sun. Thrives in USDA zones 10-11.
