Hakea

Hakea (Proteaceae) is an Australian native genus with sharp needle-like leaves and small flowers. Excellent drought/heat tolerance. Unsuitable for bonsai due to needle leaves and hard wood. Requires fast-draining soil, intolerant of waterlogging.
