Papaya Tree

Papaya (Carica papaya) is a fast-growing tropical tree, 5-10m tall, with sweet vitamin-rich fruit. Herbaceous trunk, palmate leaves, oval yellow-orange fruit. Sun-loving, well-drained soil, frost-intolerant. Main diseases: root rot, ringspot virus. Pests: spider mites, aphids, fruit flies.
