Ponderosa Pine: Pinus ponderosa. Large conifer, yellow-orange vanilla-scented bark. Slow growth, high drought tolerance, full sun. Bonsai suitable (MOYOGI, CHOKKAN). Prefers free-draining substrate. Watch for pine needle scale and mountain pine beetle.
