Xanthosoma sagittifolium (Elephant ear) is a tropical plant with large arrow-shaped leaves in the Araceae family. Grown for starchy corms. Prefers moisture, humus, partial shade. Toxic due to calcium oxalate; must be cooked thoroughly.
