Agrobacterium Tumefaciens

Soilborne bacterium Agrobacterium tumefaciens causes crown gall by altering plant DNA. Symptoms: rough galls at crown/roots. Transmitted via soil, wounds. Dangerous for seedlings. Prevention: tool sanitation, clean stock. Treatment: gall removal, antagonistic bacteria.
