Phytophthora infestans (Late Blight)

Phytophthora infestans (oomycete) causes late blight on potato/tomato. Thrives in cool moist conditions, spreads rapidly via wind/water. Symptoms: dark water-soaked lesions on leaves, stems, fruit. Requires copper, mancozeb, or metalaxyl fungicide sprays for control.
