Chamaecyparis lawsoniana (Port Orford Cedar/Lawson Cypress). Evergreen conifer, Cupressaceae family. Native to SW Oregon, N California. Aromatic ginger-scented wood. Bonsai: elegant form, fine branches, slow-growing. Temperate climate, prefers moisture, tolerates partial shade.
