Sea Almond

Sea Almond (Terminalia catappa) is a large tropical tree (15-25m) in Combretaceae. Large oval leaves turn red before falling. Flat fruits dispersed by ocean currents. Umbrella canopy with buttress roots. Widely planted in tropical coastal regions for shade. Bonsai rated as difficult.
