Ramps

Allium tricoccum (Ramps) is a native North American perennial growing from bulbs. Broad leaves emerge in spring clumps then die back. Small white flowers in late spring, black berries. Entire plant has strong garlic-onion scent, valued in cuisine and medicine. Prefers shade, moist soil.
