Mophead Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla) is a deciduous shrub with large ball-shaped flowers. Flower color changes with soil pH (blue=acidic, pink=alkaline). Prefers partial shade, moist, organically rich soil. USDA hardiness 3-9. Requires balanced fertilization, consistent watering. Susceptible to leaf scorch in intense sun.
